Ingredients
1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon dried culinary lavender buds
1 shot (1-2 ounces) espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
Optional: lavender sprig for garnish
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine milk, honey, and lavender buds. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until steaming but not boiling (about 5 minutes). Do not boil.
Remove from heat and let steep for 2-3 minutes to infuse lavender flavor.
Strain the milk mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl or measuring cup to remove lavender buds. Discard buds.
Brew a shot of espresso or prepare strong coffee.
Pour the espresso into a mug, then top with the lavender-infused milk. Stir gently to combine.
If desired, froth the milk before pouring for a foamier latte. Garnish with a lavender sprig.
Tips
For a stronger lavender flavor, steep the buds for up to 5 minutes.
Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
Use a milk frother to create foam for a café-style latte.
