Ingredients
2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
2 green onions, sliced (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Spray rack with nonstick spray.
In a large bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ketchup, vegetable oil, ginger, and pepper.
Add chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
Arrange wings on the prepared rack in a single layer. Reserve remaining marinade.
Bake for 25 minutes. Meanwhile, pour reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, until slightly thickened.
Remove wings from oven and brush generously with the thickened glaze. Return to oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes, until wings are golden and cooked through.
Optional: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Tips
For extra crispy wings, broil on high for the last 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
Leftover wings can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer.
