Ingredients
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, red pepper flakes, water, and cornstarch. Set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet, stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
Return chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly with sauce. Cook for another minute until heated through.
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately over rice or noodles.
Tips
For extra flavor, marinate chicken in 2 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp honey for 30 minutes before cooking.
Substitute chicken breasts for thighs; adjust cooking time as needed.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
