Ingredients
2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 cup honey
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss wings with baking powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Arrange wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake for 45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
While wings bake, make the sauce: In a small saucepan, combine ketchup, honey, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove wings from oven and transfer to a large bowl. Pour sauce over wings and toss to coat evenly.
Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley or sesame seeds if desired.
Tips
For extra crispy wings, let them dry in the refrigerator uncovered for 1 hour before baking.
Leftover wings can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.
Adjust the amount of honey and vinegar to suit your taste preference.
