Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder.
Brush chicken breasts with olive oil on both sides, then sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over both sides, pressing gently to adhere.
Place chicken on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F and juices run clear. Avoid moving the chicken too much to get good grill marks.
Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Optionally, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top.
Tips
For even thickness, pound chicken breasts to about 1/2 inch thick before grilling.
Letting the chicken rest after grilling helps retain juices.
Serve with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
