Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh pomegranate juice (from about 4-5 pomegranates)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon orange blossom water (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine pomegranate juice and sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer gently for about 15 minutes, until the mixture thickens slightly and reduces to about 1 cup.
- Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and orange blossom water (if using).
- Let cool completely. The syrup will thicken further as it cools.
- Pour into a sterilized bottle or jar and refrigerate. Use within 1 month.
Tips
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
- Use in cocktails like Tequila Sunrise or Shirley Temple.
- For a deeper flavor, add a splash of rose water instead of orange blossom water.
