Ingredients
2 cups water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
4 green tea bags
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Instructions
In a small saucepan, bring water and sugar to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.
Add green tea bags and steep for 3 minutes. Remove tea bags and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
Stir in lemon juice. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish (such as a 9x13-inch pan).
Place in the freezer. After 30 minutes, use a fork to scrape and stir the mixture, breaking up ice crystals. Repeat every 30 minutes for 2-3 hours until the granita is fluffy and icy.
Scrape with a fork to create flakes before serving.
