Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dredge each breast in flour, shaking off excess.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove chicken and set aside.
Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let simmer for 2 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Cook, stirring, until sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
Return chicken to the skillet. Spoon sauce over chicken. Simmer for 5 minutes until chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F).
Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Tips
For extra flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan instead of pre-shredded.
Serve with pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
