Ingredients 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 pound frozen mixed vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, etc.) 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 tablespoon oyster sauce 1 teaspoon sesame oil 1/4 cup water or vegetable broth 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (slurry) Salt and pepper to taste Optional: 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
Instructions Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering. Add frozen vegetables directly from the bag; stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they begin to thaw and char slightly. Add garlic (and ginger if using) and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and water. Pour over vegetables and stir to coat. Cook for 2-3 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp. Push vegetables to the side, add cornstarch slurry to the center, and stir quickly to thicken. Toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately over rice or noodles.
Tips For extra protein, add cubed tofu or cooked chicken during step 2. Feel free to swap oyster sauce with hoisin or more soy sauce for a vegetarian version. Garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions.
