Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together milk, cream, sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt until smooth.
- Place over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly with a whisk, until the mixture thickens and comes to a low boil, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Let cool slightly, then pour into popsicle molds.
- Insert sticks and freeze until solid, at least 4 hours or overnight.
- To unmold, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds.
