Ingredients
- 3 slices white or whole wheat bread
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 leaves lettuce
- 2 slices tomato
- 2 slices cooked chicken breast
- 2 slices ham
- 2 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Toast the bread slices lightly if desired.
- Spread mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice.
- Spread Dijon mustard on top of the mayonnaise on two of the slices.
- On the first slice (bottom), layer lettuce, tomato, chicken, and a slice of cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place the second bread slice (mustard side down) on top, then layer with remaining lettuce, ham, and the second slice of cheese.
- Top with the third bread slice (mayonnaise side down).
- Secure with toothpicks and cut diagonally into halves or quarters. Serve immediately.
