Ingredients
1 (14.3 oz) package Oreo cookies
1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
1 (8 oz) container Cool Whip, thawed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
8 oz cream cheese, softened
Gummy worms for garnish
Instructions
Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin until fine crumbs form. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened. Refrigerate for 5 minutes to set.
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
Fold the Cool Whip into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
Fold the prepared pudding into the cream cheese mixture until smooth.
In a clean flower pot or a 9x13 dish, layer the pudding mixture and Oreo crumbs, starting and ending with crumbs. You should have about 3 layers of crumbs and 2 layers of pudding.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. Just before serving, top with gummy worms to look like they are crawling out of the dirt.
Tips
For a cleaner look, use a new, clean flower pot lined with plastic wrap.
You can substitute chocolate pudding for a richer flavor.
Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
