- 1 (14.3 oz) package Oreo cookies
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (5.1 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 (12 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- Gummy worms, for garnish
Instructions
- Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or place them in a resealable bag and crush with a rolling pin until fine crumbs form. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.
- In another bowl, whisk the pudding mix and milk together for 2 minutes until thickened. Fold in the whipped topping.
- Add the pudding mixture to the cream cheese mixture and stir until well combined.
- To assemble, layer 1/3 of the crushed Oreos in the bottom of a clean flower pot or a 9x13-inch dish. Spread half of the pudding mixture over the Oreos. Repeat layers: another 1/3 of Oreos, remaining pudding mixture, and top with the remaining Oreos.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, until set. Just before serving, insert gummy worms into the 'dirt' to look like they are crawling out.
