A fun, no-bake dessert that looks like a pot of dirt with gummy worms peeking out. This creamy, chocolatey pudding cake is perfect for kids' parties or any playful occasion.
Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or place them in a resealable bag and crush with a rolling pin until fine crumbs form. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat the butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.
In another bowl, whisk the pudding mix and milk together for 2 minutes until thickened. Fold in the whipped topping.
Add the pudding mixture to the cream cheese mixture and stir until well combined.
To assemble, layer 1/3 of the crushed Oreos in the bottom of a clean flower pot or a 9x13-inch dish. Spread half of the pudding mixture over the Oreos. Repeat layers: another 1/3 of Oreos, remaining pudding mixture, and top with the remaining Oreos.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, until set. Just before serving, insert gummy worms into the 'dirt' to look like they are crawling out.
Tips
For a cleaner look, use a new, clean flower pot lined with plastic wrap.
