Ingredients
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup granulated sugar
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar.
Pour melted butter over the crumb mixture and stir with a fork until all crumbs are evenly moistened.
Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch springform pan. Press firmly and evenly into the bottom and about 1 inch up the sides using the bottom of a glass or measuring cup.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before filling, or bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes if desired for a firmer crust. Cool completely before adding filling.
Tips
For a chocolate crust, substitute 1/2 cup of graham cracker crumbs with chocolate wafer crumbs.
Press the crust firmly to prevent crumbling when slicing.
Store leftover crust (unfilled) in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
