Ingredients
4 bratwurst or other pork sausages
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
Additional curry powder for sprinkling
Instructions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausages and cook until browned on all sides, about 8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add onion and garlic; cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in curry powder and paprika; cook for 1 minute.
Add ketchup, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, sugar, and water. Stir to combine. Bring to a simmer.
Return sausages to the skillet. Simmer, turning occasionally, until sausages are cooked through and sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
Taste sauce and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Slice sausages into bite-sized pieces and serve with sauce spooned over. Sprinkle with additional curry powder.
