Ingredients
12 oz dark chocolate chips (60-70% cacao)
12 oz white chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract, divided
1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
Instructions
Line a 9x13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper.
Melt dark chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth. Stir in 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract.
Pour dark chocolate onto prepared sheet and spread into an even layer. Refrigerate until firm, about 10 minutes.
Melt white chocolate chips similarly, then stir in remaining 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract.
Pour white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer and spread evenly. Immediately sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top, pressing lightly.
Refrigerate until completely set, about 30 minutes. Break into irregular pieces by hand or with a knife.
