Ingredients
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
2 celery ribs, cut into sticks
1 cucumber, seeded and cut into sticks
1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips
1 cup cherry tomatoes
1 cup broccoli florets
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic, chives, and parsley. Mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Prepare the vegetables: cut carrots, celery, and cucumber into sticks about 3 inches long and 1/2 inch thick. Slice bell pepper into strips. Wash cherry tomatoes and broccoli florets.
Arrange the vegetables on a large platter in an attractive pattern. Place the dip in a small bowl in the center or on the side.
Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. The dip can be made up to 1 day ahead.
Tips
For extra crunch, soak vegetable sticks in ice water for 10 minutes before arranging.
Swap vegetables based on seasonality: try radishes, snap peas, or jicama.
Store leftover dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
