Ingredients
1 1/2 cups finely crushed graham crackers or buttery crackers (about 10-12 whole crackers)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, combine crushed crackers and sugar. Stir in melted butter until all crumbs are moistened.
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate or springform pan. Use a flat-bottomed glass or measuring cup to press evenly.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Cool completely on a wire rack before filling.
Tips
For a no-bake crust, chill the pressed crust in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before filling.
Substitute graham crackers with vanilla wafers, shortbread, or chocolate cookies for variation.
Store leftover crust (unfilled) tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days.
