Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup all-purpose flour, heat-treated (see tip)
1 cup mini chocolate chips
2 tablespoons milk (optional, for consistency)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Add the vanilla extract and cream cheese; beat until smooth and well combined.
Gradually mix in the heat-treated flour until fully incorporated. If the dip is too thick, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately with dippers like graham crackers, apple slices, or pretzels. Refrigerate leftovers.
Tips
To heat-treat flour: spread flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 5 minutes; let cool before using.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days; bring to room temperature before serving for best texture.
