Ingredients
1 1/2 cups crushed cookies (graham crackers, chocolate wafers, or shortbread)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, combine crushed cookies and sugar. Stir in melted butter until mixture is evenly moistened.
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate or springform pan.
Bake for 10 minutes, until set and lightly golden. Cool completely before filling.
Tips
For a chocolate crust, use chocolate wafer cookies and reduce sugar to 2 tablespoons.
If using a springform pan, press crust only on the bottom for easier removal.
Cool crust completely before adding no-bake fillings to prevent sogginess.
