Ingredients
1 1/2 cups finely crushed cookie crumbs (about 20 vanilla wafers or 10 graham crackers)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, combine cookie crumbs and sugar. Add melted butter and stir until evenly moistened.
Press mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate or tart pan.
Bake for 8 minutes, until set and lightly golden. Cool completely before filling.
Tips
For a no-bake crust, chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour instead of baking.
Use chocolate wafers or Oreo crumbs (cream removed) for a chocolate version.
Store leftover crust tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days.
