Ingredients
6 slices sourdough bread, toasted
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
6 slices cooked turkey breast (about 6 oz total)
6 slices crispy cooked bacon
4 leaves iceberg lettuce
1 large tomato, sliced into 8 thin rounds
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
Spread 1/2 tablespoon mayonnaise on one side of each toast slice.
On a plate, lay out 3 toast slices, mayonnaise side up. Divide the turkey evenly among them, then season with salt and pepper.
Top each with 2 slices of bacon, then 2 tomato slices, and finally 2 lettuce leaves.
Place the remaining 3 toast slices on top, mayonnaise side down, to form 3 sandwiches.
Stack two of the sandwiches on top of each other to create a triple-decker. Repeat with the remaining sandwich and the extra top slice (or serve as two double-deckers).
Secure with toothpicks and cut each stacked sandwich into quarters. Serve immediately.
Tips
For extra flavor, add a slice of Swiss or cheddar cheese.
Use leftover roasted turkey or deli-sliced turkey.
Store assembled sandwiches in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours; keep components separate for longer storage.
