1 tablespoon brown sugar or honey (optional)

Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine the rolled oats, milk, and salt. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring frequently, for about 5-7 minutes, until the oats are tender and the porridge has thickened to your desired consistency.
