Ingredients
6 slices white or whole wheat bread, toasted
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
8 slices cooked turkey breast
6 slices crispy bacon, halved
4 leaves iceberg lettuce
4 slices ripe tomato
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
4 toothpicks (optional, for securing)
Instructions
Spread mayonnaise on one side of each toasted bread slice.
On a plate, layer a slice of bread (mayo-side up) with 4 slices of turkey, 3 bacon halves, and 2 lettuce leaves. Season with salt and pepper.
Top with a second slice of bread (mayo-side down, then mayo-side up). Add 2 tomato slices, 4 more turkey slices, and remaining 3 bacon halves. Season again.
Place the third slice of bread on top (mayo-side down). Secure with toothpicks if desired.
Cut the sandwich diagonally into quarters and serve immediately.
Tips
For extra flavor, use oven-roasted turkey breast and thick-cut bacon.
To prevent sogginess, assemble just before serving.
