Ingredients
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
1 (6.5 ounce) can minced clams, drained, juice reserved
1 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 (28 ounce) bag frozen french fries
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake according to package directions until golden and crispy, about 20-25 minutes.
While fries bake, in a medium saucepan, whisk together cream of celery soup, reserved clam juice, milk, thyme, and pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Add minced clams and Cheddar cheese; stir until cheese is melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
Place hot fries on a serving platter or in individual bowls. Pour clam chowder sauce over fries. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, crumbled bacon, and parsley. Serve immediately.
Tips
For extra richness, use half-and-half instead of milk.
Adjust sauce thickness by adding more milk if desired.
