Ingredients
2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish
2 green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels, season with salt and pepper, and arrange in a single layer on the baking sheet.
Bake wings for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
While wings bake, combine orange juice, lemon juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Stir into the simmering sauce and cook for 1-2 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.
When wings are done, transfer to a large bowl. Pour the citrus glaze over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
Return glazed wings to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 5 minutes to set the glaze.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Tips
For extra crispiness, pat wings dry thoroughly before baking.
You can substitute lime juice for lemon juice for a different citrus twist.
Serve with extra glaze on the side for dipping.
Leftover wings can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
