Ingredients
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/4 cup maraschino cherries
1/4 cup whipped cream
Instructions
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Whisk until smooth and bubbling, about 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and vanilla extract until melted and smooth. Let cool slightly.
Scoop vanilla ice cream into 4 serving bowls or glasses.
