Ingredients
24 pretzel rods
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp coconut oil or vegetable shortening
1/2 cup assorted sprinkles, crushed nuts, or sea salt (optional)
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until completely melted and smooth.
Dip each pretzel rod into the melted chocolate, using a spoon to coat evenly, letting excess drip off. Place on prepared baking sheet.
While chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with desired toppings (sprinkles, nuts, or salt).
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until chocolate is set. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Tips
For a white chocolate version, use white chocolate chips and add a few drops of food coloring if desired.
To make them extra festive, drizzle with contrasting melted chocolate after the first layer sets.
