Ingredients
2 pounds chicken wing drumettes
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Spray rack with nonstick spray.
In a large bowl, combine baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add drumettes and toss to coat evenly.
Arrange drumettes on the wire rack in a single layer. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
While drumettes bake, make the glaze: In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, and minced garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
When drumettes are done, transfer to a large bowl. Pour glaze over and toss to coat. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately.
Tips
Pat drumettes dry before seasoning for extra crispiness.
Glaze can be made ahead and refrigerated; reheat before tossing.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
