Ingredients
1 lb pizza dough, at room temperature
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out pizza dough into a 10x8-inch rectangle.
In a small bowl, mix melted butter and minced garlic. Brush half of the garlic butter over the dough.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the dough, then top with oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
Fold the dough in half lengthwise to enclose the cheese. Press edges to seal.
Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough crosswise into 8 strips.
Twist each strip a few times and place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 1 inch apart.
Brush the remaining garlic butter over the tops of the breadsticks.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
Serve warm, optionally with marinara sauce for dipping.
Tips
For extra crispiness, bake on a preheated pizza stone.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days; reheat in oven.
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
