Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough, room temperature
- 4 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into 8 small cubes
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, divide dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 6-inch rope.
- Flatten each rope slightly and place a mozzarella cube in the center. Pinch dough around cheese to seal, then roll back into a rope.
- Tie each rope into a knot, tucking ends underneath. Place knots 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt. Brush over hot knots. Sprinkle with Parmesan if desired. Serve warm.
Tips
- Let dough come to room temperature for easier handling.
- For extra flavor, add 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
