Ingredients
1 recipe pizza dough (enough for 2 12-inch pizzas)
1/2 cup tomato sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
4 ounces ham, thinly sliced
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
1/4 cup pitted black olives, sliced
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside for at least 30 minutes.
Divide dough into two balls. On a floured surface, stretch each into a 12-inch round.
Spread half the tomato sauce on each dough round, leaving a 1-inch border.
Sprinkle half the mozzarella over each pizza.
Top with ham, mushrooms, artichokes, and olives evenly.
Drizzle each pizza with 1 tablespoon olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Transfer pizzas to the hot stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Let cool for 2 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips
For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of dried oregano or red pepper flakes before baking.
If you don't have a pizza stone, use a preheated heavy baking sheet.
Leftover pizza can be stored in the fridge and reheated in a hot oven or skillet.
