Ingredients
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
In a shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, pour buttermilk.
Dip each chicken strip into buttermilk, then dredge in flour mixture, shaking off excess.
Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken strips in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
In a small bowl, whisk together hot sauce and melted butter.
Toss fried chicken strips in the buffalo sauce until evenly coated. Serve immediately.
Tips
Adjust the amount of hot sauce to your preferred spice level.
Leftover strips can be reheated in an oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes.
Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.
