Ingredients
12 chicken drumsticks (about 3 lbs)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup hot sauce (e.g., Frank's RedHot)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
Pat drumsticks dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss drumsticks with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Arrange drumsticks on the wire rack in a single layer. Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
While drumsticks bake, prepare the Buffalo sauce: In a small saucepan over low heat, combine hot sauce, melted butter, vinegar, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until smooth and heated through. Keep warm.
Once drumsticks are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the Buffalo sauce over the drumsticks and toss to coat evenly.
Serve immediately with celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing, if desired.
Tips
For extra crispiness, pat drumsticks dry thoroughly before oiling.
Adjust hot sauce amount to control spiciness.
Leftover drumsticks can be refrigerated for up to 3 days; reheat in oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.
