Ingredients
4 slider buns, split
4 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 slices bacon
4 slices American cheese
Optional: ketchup or hot sauce for serving
Instructions
Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer to paper towels to drain. Pour off excess fat, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the skillet.
In a bowl, whisk eggs with milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Melt butter in the same skillet over medium-low heat. Pour in egg mixture and cook, stirring gently with a spatula, until soft curds form and eggs are just set, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.
Toast slider buns in a toaster or under the broiler until lightly golden.
Assemble sliders: place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each bun, top with a quarter of the scrambled eggs, a slice of bacon (broken to fit), and the top bun. Serve immediately with ketchup or hot sauce if desired.
Tips
For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of chopped chives or a dash of smoked paprika to the eggs.
To keep sliders warm, place assembled sliders on a baking sheet in a 200°F oven for up to 10 minutes.
Substitute bacon with sausage patties or ham for variation.
