Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten (for breading)
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil for frying
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Lettuce leaves
Tomato slices
Mayonnaise or ketchup
Instructions
In a bowl, combine ground chicken, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, 1 beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape into 4 patties.
Set up a breading station: place flour in one shallow dish, 2 beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs in a third.
Coat each patty first in flour, shaking off excess, then dip in egg, and finally coat with panko, pressing gently to adhere.
Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry patties for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F). Drain on paper towels.
Assemble sandwiches: spread mayonnaise or ketchup on bun bottoms, add lettuce, tomato, and a chicken patty. Top with bun tops and serve immediately.
Tips
For extra crunch, use seasoned panko breadcrumbs.
To bake instead of fry, place patties on a greased baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway.
Leftover patties can be reheated in an air fryer or oven to maintain crispiness.
