Ingredients
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup lager beer
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk together beer, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Add shrimp and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes (no longer, as beer can toughen shrimp).
Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates or pan.
Remove shrimp from marinade; discard marinade. Grill or cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with parsley. Serve immediately.
Tips
Do not marinate longer than 30 minutes to avoid mushy texture.
Serve with lemon wedges and crusty bread to soak up juices.
