Ingredients
1 lb beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/2 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
1 onion, cut into chunks
1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine yogurt, olive oil, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, salt, black pepper, and cayenne if using. Mix well.
Add beef cubes to the marinade, tossing to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours.
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Thread beef, onion, and bell pepper onto skewers, alternating ingredients.
Grill skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until beef is cooked to desired doneness.
Serve hot with rice, pita, or salad.
Tips
For extra flavor, let the beef marinate overnight.
