Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
  2. Place the pork in a slow cooker. Pour apple cider vinegar and water around the pork (not over the rub). Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 5-6 hours, until the pork is fork-tender and shreds easily.
  3. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and let rest for 10 minutes. Shred the meat using two forks, discarding any large pieces of fat.
  4. Pour off all but about 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid from the slow cooker. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and add the BBQ sauce. Stir to combine. Cook on high for 30 minutes, uncovered, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Toast the slider buns if desired. Spoon pulled pork onto the bottom half of each bun, top with coleslaw, and cover with the top bun. Serve immediately.
