4 leaves lettuce
4 slices tomato
4 slices red onion
4 pickle spears
Ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise to taste

Instructions
Divide ground beef into 8 equal portions and shape into thin patties, slightly larger than the buns. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
Cook patties in the same skillet over medium-high heat for 3 minutes per side for medium. In the last minute, top each patty with a slice of cheese and cover to melt.
Toast buns in the skillet or under the broiler.
Assemble burgers: bottom bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, two patties stacked with cheese, two slices of bacon, pickles, condiments, top bun.
Tips
Use 80/20 ground beef for juiciness; don't overwork the meat.
Let patties rest for 2 minutes after cooking.
Customize with your favorite toppings like jalapeños or avocado.
