Ingredients
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
1 cup warm water (110°F)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 lb bacon, chopped
1/2 lb ground beef
1 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water; let stand 5 minutes until foamy.
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil; stir until dough forms. Knead on floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise in warm place for 1 hour until doubled.
While dough rises, cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove to paper towels. Drain excess fat, leaving 1 tbsp in pan. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain fat. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down dough and divide in half. On floured surface, roll each half into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to greased pizza pans or parchment-lined baking sheets. Build up edges slightly.
Spread half the pizza sauce over each crust. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella and Parmesan. Top with cooked bacon and ground beef. Sprinkle oregano and red pepper flakes if using.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly. Let cool 5 minutes before slicing.
Tips
For extra crispiness, pre-bake the crust for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
Let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free area for best results.
Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven.
Customize with your favorite vegetables like bell peppers or onions.
