Ingredients
1 oz light rum
1 oz dark rum
1 oz overproof rum (such as 151-proof)
1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
1 oz grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed
1 oz cinnamon syrup
1 oz falernum
1 dash Angostura bitters
1 dash absinthe (optional)
Garnish: mint sprig, lime wheel, and maraschino cherry
Instructions
Fill a blender or shaker with ice.
Add all rums, lime juice, grapefruit juice, cinnamon syrup, falernum, bitters, and absinthe (if using).
Shake vigorously until well-chilled.
Pour into a tall glass (such as a Collins or Tiki mug) filled with crushed ice.
Garnish with a mint sprig, lime wheel, and maraschino cherry.
Tips
For a stronger drink, add an extra 1/2 oz of overproof rum.
To make cinnamon syrup: combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, and 2 cinnamon sticks; simmer for 10 minutes, then cool and strain.
Serve immediately; the ice will dilute the drink as it sits.
