Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup thinly sliced bell peppers (mixed colors)
1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes
1/2 cup sliced black olives
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside for at least 30 minutes.
On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll pizza dough into a 12-inch round. Transfer to a floured pizza peel or parchment paper.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over sauce.
Arrange mushrooms, bell peppers, red onion, cherry tomatoes, and olives over cheese. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper.
Slide pizza onto preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Remove from oven, top with fresh basil, slice, and serve hot.
Tips
For a crispier crust, par-bake the dough for 3 minutes before adding toppings.
Feel free to add other veggies like zucchini, artichoke hearts, or spinach.
Leftover pizza can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in a skillet or oven.
