Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh orange juice (about 3 oranges)
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups cold club soda or sparkling water
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium, stirring, until sugar dissolves to make a simple syrup. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a large pitcher, combine orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, vanilla extract, and cooled simple syrup. Stir well.
- Refrigerate the citrus mixture until chilled, at least 30 minutes.
- Just before serving, add club soda to the pitcher and stir gently.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the soda over the ice. Serve immediately.
Tips
- For a less sweet soda, reduce sugar to 1/3 cup.
- Store the citrus base (without club soda) in the fridge for up to 3 days; add fizz when ready to serve.
- Garnish with citrus slices or mint leaves for extra flair.
