Ingredients
1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 slices sourdough bread
4 slices provolone cheese
2 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix tuna, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and pepper until well combined.
Lay bread slices on a work surface. Divide tuna mixture evenly onto two slices, spreading to edges. Top each with 2 slices provolone cheese and remaining bread slices.
Spread butter on the outside of each sandwich (top and bottom).
Heat a panini press or a large skillet over medium heat. If using a skillet, press sandwiches with a heavy pan or spatula.
Cook sandwiches for 2-3 minutes per side, until bread is golden and cheese is melted. Serve hot.
Tips
For extra flavor, add sliced tomatoes or red onion before grilling.
Serve with a side of pickles or potato chips.
If you don't have a panini press, use a cast-iron skillet and press with another heavy pan.
