Ingredients
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup mirin
1/4 cup sake
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, and grated ginger.
Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar.
Reduce heat to low and let simmer gently for 5-7 minutes, until slightly thickened.
Remove from heat and let cool. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
