Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough, room temperature
- 4 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into 8 sticks
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, divide pizza dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 6-inch long rope.
- Press a mozzarella stick into the center of each rope, then pinch the dough around the cheese to seal completely, forming a breadstick shape.
- Place breadsticks seam-side down on prepared baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder, oregano, and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown and cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Tips
- Use store-bought pizza dough for convenience, or make your own.
- These are best served fresh from the oven; reheat in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes.
- Try adding pepperoni or cooked sausage inside for extra flavor.
