Ingredients
1/2 cup vegetable oil
6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
4 shallots, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Instructions
Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic slices and cook, stirring frequently, until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
Add shallot slices to the hot oil and cook, stirring, until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Transfer to the plate with garlic.
Once cool, transfer the crispy garlic and shallots to a bowl. Sprinkle with salt and white pepper, and toss to combine.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
