Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1/2 cup water
1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 (10 oz) bag tortilla chips
2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
1 cup salsa
1/2 cup sour cream
1 avocado, diced
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat.
Add taco seasoning and water; stir and simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in black beans and cook 1 minute.
Spread tortilla chips in a single layer on a large oven-safe platter or baking sheet.
Spoon the beef mixture evenly over chips, then sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from oven and top with salsa, sour cream, diced avocado, cilantro, and jalapeño slices if desired.
Serve immediately.
Tips
Customize with toppings like sliced olives, diced tomatoes, or pickled jalapeños.
To keep chips crispy, serve immediately after baking.
