Ingredients
1 cup prune juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together prune juice, soy sauce, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, brown sugar, ground ginger, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
Place meat (such as pork chops, chicken thighs, or beef steak) in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
Pour the marinade over the meat, ensuring all pieces are coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours for deeper flavor.
Remove meat from marinade and discard excess marinade. Cook meat as desired (grill, pan-sear, or roast).
Tips
This marinade works especially well with pork and chicken.
For a thicker glaze, simmer leftover marinade in a saucepan for 5 minutes until reduced, then brush onto cooked meat.
Store unused marinade in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
